I have been involved in the music industry going back to the 60s. Growing up in Detroit during the Motown 60”s, In my youth I witnessed firsthand the growth of the Motown music era by attending many of the Motown Revue shows at the Fox Theater. I caught more of the music bug, through the eclectic tastes of musically diverse parents. He was exposed to various genres of music, from jazz to R&B to 60’s rock and classical. I have lived in and traveled extensively around the world learning different languages, music, and music culture. From Asia (living in the Philippine Islands for 5 years), and Europe (living in Italy for 5 years), from Rome to Padua then working down the Italian Adriatic coast from Trieste to Pescara in the Abbruzzo region, in clubs and discotheques, as a club DJ, and on radio as the second African American radio personality in Italy, (Mr. Dee), on then, newly initiated FM radio formats, Radio Pescara, Radio 7G7, and Radio Luna. Music education continued as I returned to the US attending Roosevelt University, and Columbia College, as a Music and Music Business major, eventually starting a career as a professional singer/musician/producer. For the past 35+ years, I have worked for/with and behind the scenes with various artists in the music world such as Ramsey Lewis, R. Kelly, Michael Logan Sr., Bradley Young, Vaughn Halyard, Danny Leake, Billy Dickens, Steve Cole, Tom Tom 88, Bonnie Pointer, Billy Porter, Ce Ce Penniston, Byron Woods, Vince Lawrence, Duane Buford, Shay Jones, Rick Brown, Steve Grisette, Nannette Frank, Arnold Henning, Crystal Waters, Chris Botti, and many more.
